Speed read: Freelance website design an build for a luxury automotivive modification company.
In detail: In October 2009 I was approached through a friend by Steeve Dieu, a French automotive designer who wanted a web presence created for his newly established company Protostorm. Steeve's work is based in the modification area of the premium car market where clients often have luxury cars but wish to have them personalised beyond the factory standard.
I set about designing a flash based site centering around some decent quality photography provided by Steeve's farther. Unlike many sites in this growing area of interest the Protostorm site is more of a showcase than an e-commerce site so photographs were the key to getting people excited about the services Protostorm offered. As this was my second real attempt at building a site in Flash we agreed on two iterations of the site... The first of which is live now (image on the iMac screen) and a more refined version of the site when Steeve has additional work in his portfolio and one I have learnt some new AS3. I've already completed the front-end design (Image above iMac) and will schedule the build later this year with Steeve.
